As a psychotherapist and counselor focused on helping my clients heal and grow, I use mindfulness, holistic practices, and cultural understanding in my work. I recognize that people with marginalized identities face cultural violence and oppression. With an anti-racist and anti-oppression mindset, I create a space for transformation and empowerment.
I believe healing for marginalized individuals means reclaiming their dignity and power, and while privileged individuals need to change harmful behaviors. I see power inequity and systemic oppression as real traumas and provide support for marginalized individuals both personally and collectively as best I can.
I affirm everyone's right to define their sexual, romantic, and gender identities, choose supportive relationships, and explore their needs through consensual and respectful connections. My approach is inclusive of various identities, including those in polyamorous and kink communities, sex workers, and diverse gender identities.
I recognize how my whiteness, cis gender and other privileges shape my views, and I continuously work to unlearn biases. I welcome feedback as a tool for growth and take responsibility for being involved in social justice efforts against white supremacy, sexism, classism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, ageism, and xenophobia.
